• Consulted and collaborated with journalists, academics, attorneys and consumer advocates across the country to create new Freedom of Information organizations in 15 states and 40 new programs such as educational curricula, interactive DVDs, leadership summits, handbooks, Web sites, etc.

• Established new grant-making policies and procedures as the chair of the National Freedom of Information Coalition’s (NFOIC) grant committee. Developed overall grant strategy and currently collaborate with potential grantees about funding proposals totaling $240,000 annually.

• Produced and implemented Texas’ first new board of director orientation that trained 40 new board members. The training substantially increased board involvement and participation.
